A garment made for a size small doesn't become a plus-size garment just because someone made it wider. The shoulder still sits wrong. The waist lands in the wrong place. The drape that looked effortless on the hanger pulls in all the places you didn't want it to.

So we don't do it that way. Every piece in our Curvy collection was chosen for how it actually fits and moves on a fuller figure — by a plus-size woman who has worn it, or something very much like it. Sometimes that means a style you loved in our straight sizes isn't here, because the cut simply didn't hold up. When that happens, we go find one that does.

That's the trade: fewer matching sets, better fitting clothes.
